We carry a wide range of plants at
our nursery all year round. We have added this section to help you learn a
little more about some of the plants that we carry and also help you plan your
garden. We hope you find the information in this section useful.
In
addition, we are including at the bottom of this page some links to a few
wholesale nurseries and growers. They do not sell directly to the public, but
are a wonderful resource of plant information. You may e-mail them regarding
questions about specific plants, but please remember that they are wholesale
nurseries only and do not sell directly to the public.
If you are
interested in a certain plant that you don't see listed, please feel free to
e-mail us
and we can let you know if we have them available and hopefully provide some
useful information about the plant in question.
We often are asked if we
ship plants. The answer is yes, we do ship plants. Generally, we limit the
plant sizes to 1 gallon or 4 inch containers, though we have shipped bigger
plants. Shipping costs vary greatly, depending on the quantity of plants, the
size of the plants, and where you are located. Also, depending on where you
live, we may have to ship the plants 3 Day Select or Priority Mail to ensure
their safe arrival(especially during summer months). During the cooler months,
we can ship UPS Ground, which greatly reduces the cost of shipping. Currently,
we only ship plants in the United States. If you are interested in ordering

you know if we have the plants and what the costs of the plants would be
including the shipping costs.

Monterey Bay
Nursery - They have a large list of plants with descriptions and pictures
that they normally grow. They also post an availability list of plants that are
currently available. For our local customers, if you see something on their
list that you want that we do not have in stock, please let us know, since we
receive shipments from them on a regular basis.
Suncrest Nurseries - They are just
beginning to list all of their plants with descriptions on their site. They
have a wide range of plant material.
Monrovia Nurseries - Monrovia is one of the
leaders in plant quality and continually introduces many new varieties of
plants into the market. Their site is new and sometimes difficult to navigate,
but their database of plants and pictures is excellent.
Proven Winners - This is a company that
has developed some real winners in annual and perennial color. Some of these
are the Tapien Verbena, Snowstorm Bacopa, and more. This site has excellent
information about all of the plants that they grow, and they are all proven
winners in the garden.
Below is a picture of a flower from one of our 15
gallon Magnolia Trees. We don't currently have a tree section here, but wanted
you to see this magnificent flower.

Magnolia x Apollo - This hybrid has rosy pink buds that
open to heavy textured, round petalled rosy red flowers, shaded light purple at
petal bases. Flowers are up to 10" across. The flower pictured to the left,
measured 8 inches across. Grows to 15 feet high. Deciduous. |
