Hyacinths are an old-fashioned flower..
They can be used in many different ways; formal as well as informal settings,
along borders, in planters or in small groups in front of evergreens. Plant
them near walkways and entrances to take advantage of their wonderful
fragrance. Good companions to early tulips and mid-season daffodils. If used as
cut flowers, they can last up to 6 days. In the ground, plant them 4 - 6 inches
deep and 4 - 6 inches apart. They are easily forced in glass vases as well as
pots. Hary in USDA Zones 4 - 8. They come in a variety of colors. |
