Dahlias thrive in well drained soil and
like a sunny spot in your garden. Plant tuberous roots in the spring about 3
inches deep.You may want to place stakes in the ground next to the tubers if
they are tall varieties. Dahlias are hardy in zones 8 - 11. In hot areas, plant
dahlias in a semi-shady location. In areas where they are not winter hardy,
pull bulbs in the fall and store in a dry location at about 40 degrees. Below
are some of the varieties typically available January through March in bulb
form and later in the early summer in containers(though not as many varieties
available later in the year).
Bright Cactus
Dahlias - Cactus Dahlias are large colorful, starburst-type flowers.
Excellent for garden or border planting. Long lasting, ideal cut flowers. Below
