Tuberous Begonias - There are many
varieties of tuberous begonias and are available in a variety of colors. Some
varieties are great for hanging baskets while others do well in containers or
in the garden. After danger of frost(especially in colder areas), plant tubers
concave side up with their tops slightly above soil level. They prefer a
semi-shady location, being protected from the hot afternoon sun. The soil
should stay moist, and in dry areas they may need to be misted to raise
humidity. A regular monthly fertilizing program with a liquid fertilizer during
the spring and summer months is important for best results. In the fall, store
bulbs in a cool dry location or leave them in the pots. Below are some of the
varieties of tubuerous begonias that are available:
Hanging Sensation
Begonias - This is the finest strain of hanging Basket Begonias now
available to the American Market. The flowers are fully double in bright,
non-fading colors. Plant in partial shade to full shade. Begonias add beauty to
any porch, patio or window box. Grow 12-15". Bloom July to Frost.

Double Trumpet Improved Roseform
Begonias - Brighten up the shady areas in the garden and around the
house with beautiful, colorful Begonias. With blooms starting in June, no other
plant grows as well in the shade. The blooms are large in size with the lovely
petal shape and design of Camellias. Pinch off side buds to produce large
blooms up to 6" across. Start bulbs early indoors, Feb. to April, and move
outdoors after frost period. Height: 12-15"

Non-Stop Begonias - "Non-Stop"
Begonias are an amazing new strain which continuously covers itself with masses
of perfectly formed, medium-sized flowers. It has all the strength and vigor of
regular begonias, but is actually the first strain to produce tryly compact,
double flowering blooms and a real dwarf growing habit, making it wind
resistant. They start flowering very early, flower buds actually appear with
the first leaves. They bloom from June until frost. They are excellent for
