 Babiana Stricta or Baboon flower - This South African native is great in borders and containers. It is excellent for naturalizing and loves full sun. It is good for cut flowers. Bloom period is in July and grows in USDA Zones 8 - 11. Plant 4 - 5 inches deep and 2 inches apart. Flowers can last for as long as a month in the garden.
