Eucharis grandiflora
(Amazon Lily) - Thrives in regions where the temperature is 60 - 70
degrees. Large, sweet scented white flowers. Ideal for potting. Likes heavy
feeding and plenty of water. When not in bloom, the foliage is broad shiny
green. The plant pictured was potted 2 years ago with 3 bulbs and produced over
2 dozen exquisite flowers on strong stems. Great as indoor house plant. Height:
20-24". This bulb is not currently available.
TIP - Amazon
lilies don't like to be disturbed, so keep them in the same pot for several
years. After blooming, the bulbs can be coaxed into bloom again by withholding
fertilizer and water just enough to keep the leaves from wilting(never let the
bulbs become completely dry). When new growth appears, resume watering and
fertilizing as before.
